Enyo Law was instructed by the liquidators of two companies registered in Bermuda and Gibraltar, and by the trustees of a trust incorporated in Bermuda, to pursue a claim arising from a complex series of transactions relating to a prospective hotel, residential and retail development in Bermuda.
Enyo Law successfully obtained summary judgment in the amount of $12 million against two Defendants, an Emirati company and its director, in relation to the Claimants’ unjust enrichment claim.
Prior to obtaining summary judgment, Enyo Law successfully applied for a without notice freezing injunction against those defendants and maintained that protection on behalf of the Claimants in the form of a post-judgment proprietary and freezing order against the same defendants.
Enyo Law has since pursued a multitude of enforcement proceedings against the two defendants. Those enforcement proceedings have ranged from successfully winding up the Emirati company in England, a process that included argument on jurisdiction, to successfully charging and disposing assets held in the director’s own name.
