Breakfast Seminar Overview: Evidence in international arbitration

Enyo Law was delighted to welcome Sir Bernard Rix and Anneliese Day QC to its latest Arbitration Breakfast Seminar on 20 June. The seminar was chaired by Enyo Law partner Anna Maxwell and covered the topic of evidence in international arbitration.

The speakers led a lively discussion with the audience on issues such as the varying weight given to witness evidence in different jurisdictions, the utility of the Redfern Schedule, how to avoid expert reports which are ‘ships passing in the night’ and the benefits of memorial style submissions over pleadings. The speakers shared their valuable insights from the perspectives of both arbitrator and counsel and discussed some of the key differences between arbitrating in civil and common law jurisdictions.
